Our Recently Opened Contract Role
In this role, you will collaborate with participants, families, and support networks to understand behaviours of concern and develop practical, evidence-informed behaviour support strategies aimed at enhancing participants’ quality of life. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, preparing behaviour support plans, and guiding implementing providers to effectively apply recommended strategies in everyday settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBAs).
- Develop, implement, and review NDIS Behaviour Support Plans (Interim and Comprehensive).
- Apply positive behaviour support approaches tailored to individual participant needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to implementing providers on behaviour support strategies.
- Monitor participant outcomes and adjust support plans as required.
- Work collaboratively with families, support teams, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
- Ensure all practice aligns with NDIS legislation and Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.
Essential Requirements
- Registration as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- ABN or ACN.
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
- Relevant qualification in Social work, Psychology or a related allied health discipline.
- Access to own laptop and mobile phone.
- Access to a car.
- Sound understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and restrictive practice requirements.
